Charlie Kirk Fatally Shot at Utah Event; Wife Posted Psalm Hours Before Tragedy

Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot during a speaking event at Utah Valley University in Orem on September 10, 2025.

Kirk was struck in the neck by a single bullet while answering student questions. He was rushed to the hospital but later pronounced dead. Investigators believe the fatal shot came from a nearby building approximately 200 yards away.

Just hours before the tragedy, Kirk’s wife, Erika, shared a haunting post on X that read: “Psalm 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” The message has since been seen as tragically prophetic, with thousands offering condolences in its wake.

Charlie and Erika had recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary. He leaves behind his wife and their two young children, a daughter and a son.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the shooting, which is being treated as a deliberate and targeted attack. The incident has sent shockwaves through the nation, sparking an outpouring of grief and tributes for Kirk’s life and work.
