A truck driver walks into a cafe on the Hume Highway with a full-grown emu behind him.
The waitress asks for his order.
The truckie says, “I’ll have a hamburger, chips and a coffee.”
He turns to the emu. “What about you?”
“Sounds good to me, I’ll have the same,” the emu replies.

The waitress returns with their meals. “That’ll be $10.50, please.”
The truckie reaches into his pocket, pulls out the exact change, and pays.

This happens again the next day. And the day after that. Always the same order, always the exact change.

Finally, on Friday night, the truckie says: “I’ll have a steak, baked potatoes and a salad.”
The emu chimes in: “Sounds great, same for me.”

The waitress brings the meals. “That will be $32.65.”
Once again, the man reaches into his pocket and hands her the exact change.

Unable to hold back any longer, the waitress blurts out:
“You’ve really got me there, mate. How do you always have the exact change?”

The truckie leans back and says:
“Well, years ago I found a magic lamp. When I rubbed it, a genie promised me two wishes. My first wish was that whenever I had to pay for something, I’d just reach into my pocket and pull out exactly the right amount of money.”

The waitress gasps. “That’s brilliant! But what about the emu?”

The truckie sighs…
“My second wish was for a tall bird with long legs who agrees with everything I say.” 🦤😂
