The Funniest “Old Couple” Story You’ll Hear All Week

An elderly couple went to the doctor because they were both having trouble remembering things. After a quick check-up, the doctor smiled and said, “Nothing serious — you’re both just getting older. But you might want to start writing things down so you don’t forget.”

That night, while watching TV, the wife said, “Honey, I’d love a bowl of ice cream.”

“Sure thing,” said the husband, getting up.

“Wait,” she added. “The doctor said you should write things down — just so you don’t forget.”

He chuckled. “Nonsense. I can remember ice cream.”

“Okay,” she said. “But I’d also like strawberries on top.”

He nodded. “Ice cream with strawberries. Got it.”

“And a bit of whipped cream too, please,” she added.

Now slightly annoyed, he replied, “Ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream — I’ve got it!” and stomped off to the kitchen.

Twenty minutes later, he returned and proudly handed her a plate of bacon and eggs.

She stared at the plate for a moment and sighed, “I knew it… you forgot the toast.”
