A young man and a young woman were deeply in love and just weeks away from their wedding. From the outside, everything looked perfect. But behind closed doors, each of them carried a secret they had never told a single soul — not even each other. And both were terrified that once married, the truth would come out and ruin everything.
The groom-to-be finally broke under the pressure and went to his father for advice. His problem was humiliating. No matter how often he washed, scrubbed, or changed shoes, his feet smelled absolutely awful. He was convinced that once his new wife noticed, she’d be disgusted. His father listened carefully, thought for a moment, and gave him a simple but strict solution: wear socks at all times. Day and night. Even in bed. Wash his feet whenever possible. Never let them be exposed. Relieved, the young man agreed and followed the plan religiously.
That same day, the bride-to-be had her own confession. She went to her mother in tears, explaining that her morning breath wasn’t just bad — it was unbearable. She was sure it would shock her husband the moment they woke up together. Her mother reassured her calmly, then offered a strategy. Wake up before everyone else. Don’t say a word. Make breakfast. Brush her teeth while everyone eats. Never speak until then. The young woman felt saved.
They married and began their life together. He slept in socks every night. She woke up early and stayed silent every morning. Weeks passed. Months passed. Everything seemed perfect.
Then one morning at 5:30 AM, the husband woke up suddenly. Something felt wrong. He looked down and froze. One sock was missing.
Panic set in instantly.
He searched the bed. Under the blankets. On the floor. Nothing. His heart started racing. In a blind rush of terror, he shouted, “OH NO! I’VE LOST MY SOCK!”
His wife bolted upright in bed, eyes wide with horror, and screamed back, “OH MY GOD! YOU ATE MY TOOTHBRUSH!”
