‘suddenly at home’ at the age of 53

Nathaniel ‘Nate’ Pelletier, a beloved member of Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart crew, passed away suddenly at the age of 53 on May 11 at his home in Langley, British Columbia.

Though he made on-screen appearances as a taxi driver, Nate was best known for his work in the show’s transportation department, where he cared for and drove the period vehicles. Actor Martin Cummins (Henry Gowen) shared an emotional tribute: “The Valley will not be the same without Nathaniel Pelletier. He was a gentle soul and it was my honor to call him friend.”

Production manager Mike Magnusson added: “Nate was all heart… a true Unicorn… always there with a kind word. He leaves a void we will not be able to replace.” The show’s official Instagram account also paid tribute: “Nate… loved interacting with the fans and brought so much joy. He will be missed greatly
