In a relief-filled turn of events, 15-year-old Alisa Petrov — missing for nearly six weeks in Utah — has been found alive and safe. She appeared at a police station in Colorado Springs, more than 500 miles away from her home.

Authorities report that Alisa walked into the station and identified herself. She appeared to be in good health, though details of how she traveled so far or whether she was held against her will remain unclear.

Alisa was last seen on surveillance footage leaving a train platform in Provo after being dropped off near school. Investigations revealed she had been in contact with three adult men online.
