Actress Pamela Salem attended the University of Heidelberg in Germany after being born in India in 1944. She attended the Central School of Drama to learn how to be an actress. She then performed in repertory theater in York and Chesterfield.

The actress had a lengthy career in theater, television, and film. Her most well-known performances were in Shakespearean, Chekhovian, and Pinter plays.

However, she had a significant role as Miss Moneypenny in the Sean Connery-starring James Bond film Never Say Never Again (1983). Her work as a voice actor for the audio drama production company Big Finish was well known.
